Troubleshooting

Why a post failed and how to fix it

What each Needs attention state means, and the one-click fix behind it.

Last updated

Anything blocked lands in Needs attention, above the inbox queue, with the reason in plain language and a button that does the fixing. Below is what each state means.

Connection expired or revoked

What you see: "Instagram needs reconnecting. Nothing has been lost."

Tokens expire, passwords change, sessions get revoked. Posts for that platform pause and move to Needs attention; every other platform continues unaffected. Press Reconnect, complete the OAuth flow, and the queue resumes from where it stopped.

Media still processing

What you see: "This video is still rendering. We'll wait up to 30 minutes."

The job waits, then moves to Needs attention if the render has not finished. This almost always means a very long source file. Retry is safe.

Caption or media outside the platform's limits

What you see: the specific limit, plus the fix. For example, "This caption is 2,410 characters. Instagram allows 2,200." with a Shorten button, or "This video is 94 seconds. Reels allows 90." with a Trim button.

Caps are re-validated 60 seconds before publishing, so a draft edited after approval is still checked.

Duplicate protection

What you see: "You posted this caption and media to X within the last 30 days."

A warning chip, not a block. Post anyway if it is deliberate — evergreen recycling triggers this by design.

Platform quota exhausted

What you see: "YouTube's daily quota is used up. This moved to tomorrow."

Nothing failed permanently and no action is needed. If it happens weekly, contact support about a higher-quota project.

Account restricted by the platform

What you see: the platform's own message, quoted verbatim.

We do not translate or soften these because the exact wording is what you need to appeal. Only the platform can lift a restriction; Stacked will keep drafting and hold everything for that account until the health check goes green again.

Permission missing

What you see: the exact permission and where to change it. For Discord role failures this is usually "Move Stacked's role above 'Member' in Server Settings → Roles."

Deleted from the platform manually

If you delete a post on the platform itself, the next analytics sync marks the action removed and stops collecting metrics for it. Nothing is re-posted.

Still stuck

Every error in the app links to its help article by id. If you have hit one that does not, that is a bug and support wants to hear about it. Include the draft id from the URL.
